A Sister's Love

Wed, 04/06/2016 - 00:38 -- TVP265

I don’t need a lover. I don’t need social media.

The only thing I need with me is my one and only sister.

Our boat is filling with water, our sibling bonding time becomes a total wash.

We jumped off the boat, and tried to stay afloat.

As we watched in dismay, our boat slowly faded away.

We found a deserted island, which is now our home sweet home;

I am grateful to have my sister with me, because without her I would be alone.

If she wasn’t with me, no one would watch my back;

There would be no one to talk to, then my mind would go whack.

We shared our favorite and not so favorite memories;

We squabble from time to time, but on good days, we get along just fine.

Stranded on a deserted island, my sister is all I need.

No strings attached, and any favor I can ask;

She comes through in lightning speed.
