Sinking

Take it slow

One breath

Then another

Day by day

Step by step

Alone is better

Easier

Less people to hurt

Anger

Isolation

Time bomb ticking

Blast zone empty

Only I remain

It was easy to say

"Yeah I'm okay"

No one sees

What I long to say

"No I'm not"

I feel like I'm drowning

Can't breathe

Mind racing

Chest aching

Gasping for air

I won't make it

Eyes water

Losing time

Tick tock

I sink like a rock

Life is the water

An inescapable prison

I give in

Let the water pull me under

Finally there's light

I don't need to fight

Giving in

Giving up

Is sometimes better

Than waking up

Everyone says

"Keep on fighting"

I'm tired

Exhausted

Drained from trying to stay afloat

Now I won't

Let the fight stop

Now I give up

And I start to drop

Deeper, deeper

Darker, darker

Peaceful

Black

Lovely

Abyss
