Poetry is freedom
Poetry is like the saving breathe after struggling to get to the surface
Poetry is about diving deep into the dark waters of our hearts and capturing the treasures that are locked at the bottom
Poetry is important an the ones we love, whom so often slip through our grasp
Poetry is as pointless as a guilty pleasure
Poetry means secret yet safe expression sleeping in the back of our notebooks waiting to be heard

You have beautiful metaphors all through your poem. The thing that would put the icing on the cake would be an ending that ties all of those images together, something that gives a sense of closure. It is a beautiful ride, but I felt like I fell off before it was supposed to be over. I want more--good luck :).
