Simplicity

Here I am, so hear me out.

I drive a black pickup truck from 2002,

the scent within of different car fresheners,

notebooks and books scattered about,

a spare set of clothes and shoes,

oil and car fluid in the corner,

a dictionary that rolls around,

with dents, scratches,

faded paint on the hood, roof, and tailgate,

and rust here and there outside.

But it's my home that travels with me

to and from wherever I go.

It is simple.

I am simple.

I want a life of happiness that is success.

Money to give away.

A simple place to live with land to explore

and room for family to grow.

Some toys to enjoy.

And opportunities to travel near and far,

to share what I've learned,

what I have been through,

surviving cancer at the age of 18,

make people stop and think

because after all that is how you change the world.

So did you hear me?
