A Simple Manifestation

We are simply fireworks waiting to explode

Guns ready to fire, the powder gone astray,

We are simple human beings we say,

 Our lives have gone without

 fear and unrealistic opportunity

The world around comes crashing in

A dancer just waiting to spin

The universe in which we have yet to create

Each and every day, seems to escape

The lives we have yet to touch and the dreams we have yet to disrupt

The firecracker writhing, simply wishing to begin

The uncertainty that has become life

No longer waiting to go out of sight

The lives we have yet to lead, have only become more and more bleak

A stone waiting on her path, wondering how long it takes time to pass

The clock ticks forever on, with each waking second, becoming more strong

Her strong shoulders hold her back, from was has been waiting in her past

The longest night has yet to come

And the war has not yet been won

The lives we have to remember to forget

Have only recently slipped out of her grip

A slippery slope, surely would be, never dreamed it would succeed

Her life has unfolded all too soon

Even before she had time to blink her eyes

Even though nothing has passed her by

The everyday struggle within

Has been manifested yet again

The simplicity of it all never ceases to amaze,

The wandering eyes of those who cannot be tamed

The unappealing looks of those who cannot see

Never before did she understand, what life held in her hands

The never beginning cycle of breaking dawn, begging to be set free

Wondering how she will ever be

The perfect simplicity has become

One of absolute chaos and uninterrupted doom,

Unseen battles, impossible to win

And as the war wages on, she cant help but wonder,

“what on earth have I done wrong?”
