Silent Homes

Silent homes

For those with voices that can’t be heard

For those with pain that can’t be seen

From what I’ve learned

Of the mean

That they have homes

From where they roam

They earn to see

The unknown thee

I want to change

The new construction

That makes destruction

To our environment

To the silent voices

To the scientist

 That has a choice

I want to save homes

Of critters in their nature

To create new bromes

To create more adventures

And stop needless building

That destroys the innocent

To promote fielding

And limit impetus

To save the scavenger

That has a voice

Like you and I

They have a home

This poem is dedicated to the animals  that no longer have a home due to new construction buildings being built in La Porte. Awhile ago, we ran across a coyote that was later killed due to a hit from a car. Weeks before that, a deer was on the side of the road dead as well. I would like to limit new construction and perseve more land for wild animals.
