A sea of pale faces surrounds my dark skin
Do you not see me
You gloss over my history as insignificant and irrelevant
Do you not respect me
Jokes are had my expense and rationalized as funny
Stop with your stereotyping, and your comments that debase and degrade me
You do not respect me
I stand strong with my dark skin and thick hair
I am an intelligent and beautiful human being
but what do you see when you look at me ......inferiority?
