silent cry

you don't hear the words they can't say

their eyes hold the memories of the past

they survive day by day

they don't remember how long it'll last

they stay hidden as long as they can

with hope that today maybe different

they remain silent as they hear the man

he cracks the whip across the lip

of his beloved pet he once loved dear

they can't even shed a tear

why do we think its ok for this?

to let our animals suffer

wold you let a child go through it?

how is an animal any different?

because they can't cry, they won't run away

we've trained them to accept the pain

but i hear the silent cries and it makes me sick

put a stop to it
