The Silent

And so they scream

Sometimes in silence

But they can be heard

They are defenseless against our power

A power that has made us incredible

But is warping us

Why must they suffer

Born and raised to die a horrible death

So that we can indulge on their splendor

Can we even imagine treating a human in such a way

Born a baby

Caged an animal

Forced to grow beyond well-being

And what Mother Nature would allow

Then tortured for those most selfish

Why must those with pure innocence

Be battered

When those most evil flourish

They are no different than us

They still feel pain

And suffer in silence
