Silence

Silence is the deafening noise that you want to lose but can’t run away from

Silence is when you are in a room full of people and still feel alone

Silence is when you are alone in a room but all you hear is noise

Silence is a cold dark empty world

Where all you see is your fears

Silence is the war inside where you want to be alone

But are scared of it

Silence is the sound you try to drown out with white noise

But you cannot escape it

Silence seems to be the song that is on repeat day after day

Until finally you want to scream and cry and run away all at once

Silence is only awkward if you make it

But that is the way it feels

Silence is the most welcoming and terrifying thing in the universe

You try to fight it until you give in and let it consume you

Silence
