She is Worthy

There's a girl on the street.

Her skirt is short.

Her hair is long.

She's calling out to the cars that pass:

"Hey, baby you looking for a good time?"

She sells her body to anyone that can pay the price.

She's a whore;

A slut;

A skank.

You see what she feels she must do ,

But you have no idea of the life she has.

During the day she is

A mother;

A caregiver;

A victim of abuse.

He said he couldn't stop himself

But now she feels unworthy.

Unworthy of respect;

Unworthy of a man who won't hit her;

Unworthy of a job where she can keep her body

Safely tucked away in a suit.

She is mistaken.

She is worthy.

Worthy of respect;

 Worthy of love;

Worthy of help.

Will you help her?
