She Will

 

The woman leaps across the continent:

Bern, Paris, Munich, Prague,

the green sloping fields of Switzerland.

She is moving forward,

moving towards

 

Knowledge.

Understanding.

The notion that there are worlds to be discovered,

ideas to entertain,

people to give to,

beliefs to stand up for.

 

She will dance in the streets

and have heated debates with her father.

She will give everything

and keep herself intact.

 

She will push past people in her way,

She will think up new ideas.

She will write and write and write

until she cannot write anymore.
She’ll ask some more questions,

visit some new places

and tell the world’s stories

once more.
