She walks again
He sits with the face of stone in his metal box
Silent screams erupting from her soul
She bangs her fist against the beast
Her voice breaking with each word
The beast looks on with no remorse
His words rip through her like a jagged sword
The metal cell opens and she stumbles out
Too broken to stand she crawls to the curb
Clutching to her chest a picture
Her pained heart throbbing inside
She wonders where it all went wrong
In a blinding light he swoops in
Helping her to her feet he tells her to let go
Let go of suffering and let go of the pain
He shows her how to stand on her own
She's stronger now but sometimes the weight still brings her down
But again he's there to show her she's not alone
And he shows her she is loved
She can now walk free of her past
Her heart is free, free at last.
