She Tempted Me...

Location

She tempted me…

By wearing that short skirt

Paired with sharp stiletto heels, creating the illusion that her legs go for miles

A risqué top so I did not need my imagination

Lips made full

With the makeup she used to get that come hither look

She smelled like darkness

Tasted like sin

Felt like the untamed wild

And her screams sounded like pure terror

So how can you tell me, with all that in mind, that she didn’t want it?

She tempted me.

She tempted me…

By wearing that light breezy sundress

Shoes set aside to allow her to feel the fresh grass beneath her bare feet

A sweater covering her would be bare arms

Lips pink from gloss

Eyes displaying “natural” shadow

She smelled like sunshine

Tasted like rain

Felt like Spring Flowers

And wept from the innocence being taken away

But how can you tell me, with that pretty picture, that she wasn’t begging for attention?

She tempted me.

She tempted me…

By wearing those casual blue jeans

Her shoes meant for comfort during the stressful day

Her shirt modestly displaying the brand of her high school

Lips smeared with Chap Stick to ward off the damages of the approaching cold

Eyes revealing how truly tired she was

Hair sloppily done up

She smelled like libraries

Tasted like knowledge

Felt like worn books

And cried out in confused pain

But how can you tell me, with all that studying, that she wasn’t expecting someone to be into that?

She tempted me.

 She tempted me…

By wearing that heavy duty pants

Snow boots tied tight for protection

Her torso buried under layers of fabric

Lips chapped from the harsh wind

Eyes squinting in the cold

Her head and neck blocked by a snug ski cap

She smelled like a wood fire

Tasted like pine trees

Felt like freshly fallen ice powder

And shrieked the confirmation of being broken to the world

But how can you tell me, that by daring to go out, she didn’t bring it on herself?

She tempted me.

She tempted me…

By shaking heat out of the customary burka

The appropriate saddles being revealed

Heavy, dark fabric of the clothing causing her obvious discomfort

Lips chin and nose covered out of respect

Hair hidden from view with everything else

Ultra-modern, plastic glasses alluding to her being foreign

She smelled like deviance

Tasted of freedom

Felt like stolen rights

And sounded like fierce silence of someone desperate for escape

But how can you tell me, after her daring to leave her minder, that what I did was wrong?

She tempted me.

He forced me…

Stating I tempted him by

Dressing like a whore

Giving him easy access

Walking home alone

Going out in winter

Traveling without an escort

But no matter what he tells you please remember that

He forced me.
