She Stared

Tue, 10/20/2015 - 23:11 -- jcubow

She sat there

With a marvelous stare;

Ferry eyes,

And across, she had fare.

Deep blue skies,

All that one could surmise,

Were her cares

As her gaze never died.

Window clean

She watched through still so keen,

Never masked,

Her eyes were dark ravines

A day passed,

Or two did so fast,

All she'd seen;

Left her eyes so far cast.

And in time,

Less had kept her in mind.

None was said

As long as she seemed fine.

I knew yet

There was more to this head,

I would find,

Yes, this girl must be dead.
