She Finally Told Him

She averted her eyes
And twiddled her thumbs
And shifted her weight
Onto her other foot.

And finally she told him
And his eyes widened
And he threw a pillow
And left the room.

And so she sat there
Alone on her bed
And began to cry
And cry and cry.
