Shallow

John 2:25 New Living Translation (NLT)

25 No one needed to tell Him about human nature, for He knew what was in each person’s heart.

No deep thoughts getting caught

In the framework of my reason

No original points of view are surfacing today

Nothing bought to bring naught

For that would be treason

To take opportunity and purpose far away

Compromise is no sugar and spice

It only leads to torment

Set aside for children enjoying their bark

So think twice before throwing rice

It only takes a moment

In dust and ashes to generate a spark

Is it not true that in the color blue

We can see great value?

If all around spring-green is freely given

Do we have a clue as we ignore truth?

Analyzed by chosen few

As creation shouts not to be misgiving
