Shadows in the Dark

Shadows in the dark

Flitting back and forth

Shivering goosebumps

Shimmering ideas

Back and forth across my vision

Easily solved plight

Shaded light is hard to see

it All seems odd to me

Who are you to answer

A question only I have asked

After all it was only a thought

And mind reading illegal as mimicry

Like leaving out a comma

Or adding a word

My mind is my poem

You can’t tell me how it should be run

What is a teacher

If learning is just a memory

Would we all be students

They must be conscience

The deaf man knows music

The blind man knows color

He who can’t taste understands spice

But you don’t

The one who has the littlest

Shares it the most

The one who has most talent

Prefers to hide it

Who should ask the why

When we’ve all been told not to

I just need to know

What made them the ones

Did they ask why first

And do they have the answer

Too bad they’re gone

We’ve lost once again

The answers are foggy

The road is slick

The light at the end of the tunnel

Is a shadow in the dark
