You, are everything I wish I was.
Everything I try to be, only all at once.
I am a person with no defined self, or rather
many selves.
Sometimes, I abandon one self, to inhabit another for a moment.
My friends and family frantically wave their hands about my uninhabited self
but they needn’t worry; I am fine.
I am elsewhere, being who I need to be.
You, are one self.
One enigmatic, energetic, erratic, exciting self.
Sometimes, when I am with you, I find myself lost for a moment. It’s as if all of my selves simultaneously abandon me,
immersed in your presence
overwhelmed and intrigued by your zeal for life
your sense of Reality.
My selves, hate one another. They are so bitter
They are so different; chameleons, altering themselves to match, perfectly, their surroundings.
Their expectations.
They are all so different, all so hateful.
But
they have one thing in common.
One, baffling likeness.
They all
Love
You.
