Self-portrait ... before and after

Self portrait

1 Corinthians 14:31-32

31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

The prophets are not subject!

The accuser works through the mind ... he is well versed in it.

He makes us do the things he likes ... and we don’t even focus.

He supplies us shifting attitudes ... and positions ever changing

as he removes our stability ... in its entirety on short notice.

He takes our strength to listen and let thoughts drift through the brain.

He makes us talkative by old nature ... and our tongue out of control.

Then shed of mind and will ... and he’ll make us act like a robot

as the accuser just pushes buttons because our names are on his scroll.

He’ll take it one step farther ... and brings obstinacy.

So we refuse to listen ... to reason on evidence.

After we have made decisions and carved them into stone

the mind has become immobile ... as it sheds any pretense.

It seems so clear now ... that the Gospel delivers from sin.

As this cleansing happens you’ll be delivered from the devil as well.

Why than be afraid ... if the devil is mentioned.

When the Gospel is preached ... he does fear and swell.
