Self-made man

Philippians 2:3

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity,

each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another

as more important than yourself.

Self-made man … I got it

There are few burdens not self-inflicted

They disappear when The Lord is Light

It’s like in self-hopelessness addicted

To where darkness rules and all is night

Enslaved to self and its wants and desires

Where ever one searches for self afloat

Gasping for air struggling in the mire

Of self-made waste in a sinking boat

Being locked in man-made shackles

Hungering for wings to shelter self

None will fly away or ever tackle

The conditions of this self-made hell

Blaming everyone around you

For the misery and despair

That you earned with much to do

To be noticed everywhere

Reaping what you’d sowed long ago

The bitter harvest of your life

All the things that only you know

With one exception called: Your wife
