A Secret

Secrets utterly embarrassing and cruel.

Mine’s no different.

It’s dark,
twisted,
deep and wet.

Tears shall flow out with a never-ending sight,
a river rises from sadness.

Leaving a clouded perception inside.

Hush, I must,

fearing the worst,
eyes staring,
mist dripping, dripping, dripping
off my forehead, rapidly.

Forever dreaming

and envisioning a private universe.

Hush, I must.

I lost all cryptic.

Hush, I must.

Regret?

Oh, lord for love don’t get that blossoming.

An afterthought is all.

I shall be buried six feet under——

with clouds hovering.

But nevermore,

nevermore,

and nevermore

all shall remain anonymous.

My

dark,

dark,

dark,

deep,

deep

and deep

secret shall never ever, ever, ever be heard.
