Searching emptiness

Romans 1:21

21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God

or give Him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and

their senseless hearts were darkened.

Searching emptiness

Why is there attraction and only to a few?

It cannot be important unless it’s the wrong source

Investment of attention to where it is due

Seems to pass quickly in my way off-course

Is it worth the time and is love the motive?

Is it a spiritual exercise that’s fading in the heart?

Are issues more important pushed to the all-inclusive?

Are feelings of self-importance elevated so in part?

If this is reality why is it cloaked in darkness?

Flesh and its expectations beguiling simple truth

Yesterday the end and now a turn to flowing kindness

A new start in openness in relation of me and you

Driving on the highway called deep confusion

Looking for an exit that will lead to nowhere

Hoping there to find an escape from my illusion

That embraces me at will with whispers everywhere

Join the club we have a few members

We are pulling mightily in different directions

Whoever is the strongest I can’t remember?

All I see is energy the unprotected not to mention
