The Search Of Happiness

I climb through a window, with my heart in my hand, I search for a warm breeze.

Awakened in darkness  I feel the ridged cold embrace me As I shiver, realization hits

My lungs heave and shrivel as I cannot breath

The darkness is thick and full filling me with sadness and sorrow.

An emptiness fills everything I am, relentless.

A hand takes mine pulling me through the abyss

As I reach the surface I gasp for air finally feeling hope and relief

Being Filled with warmth, I feel Love the love so long deprived, ripped from my grasp Now hits me with full force.

Tears swell in my eyes as I look back through the window

Admiring where I've come from and where I am now.
