Sea, Swallow Me

I stand before an endless enigma.

In absolute anticipation,

I watch as its waves breathe steadily…

Inhale.

The foamy abundance retreats,

Exposing my biding ankles

Who await a ruthless retaliation.

But how unfair–

You cannot see through me

The way I see you,

Clear and blue.

And so you exhale,

Serene and affectionate,

Effusing your bitter foam

To embrace my binded body.
