Scribbles

Scribbles are like secrets
always hiding
sometimes mean

scribbles are like screams
when caused by frustration
and giving some relief

scribble is an emotion
of wordless strength
in anger or happiness

They’re

full of whispers
twisting and turning
like a giant knot
wound together
over and over again
a terrible maze
nearly impossible
to escape
agendas ranging
from benevolence
to destruction

lines tortured
into unnatural shapes
bending and twirling
back on itself
then looping around

lying, covering up
not showing what
once was there
now hidden

I want to be a scribble.
