Scarlet

Location

As red rests o my chest,

I know to who, for why, I gave my best.

Not a hint, I will not give a sign.

For I wear my scarlet letter,

Hester Prynne.

No matter thy works,

Lies shape thy tomorrow.

Enclosed by pride,

A  fool never speaketh thy depths of thy sorrow.

Thy critic.

Thy woman.

Thy truth.

Thy feeling.

All speak of God's work.

but no requests of healing.

Adam.

Eve.

The serpent.

And the circumstance,

Balancing the wickedness of the world.

with child in hands.

The truth is in the world,

In which the world holds pain.

Each day her sun sets,

Loneliness all have sustained.

Perhaps she pondered.

Thou told me it would be months,

To me seemed like forever.

At the time...

Forever only amounted to some months.

I would have turned back, if the heart in my possession had not led out front.

All of my sins have me shunned

But in the eye of the beholder,

I could be the one.

I lie to you not,

Speak truth to what I have done.

While temptation seemed to last a lifetime.

Forever only amounted to some months.

As red rests on my chest.

I know for who, to why, I gave my best.

Not a hint, I will not give a sign.

For a wear my scarlett letter,

Hester Prynne.
