Savior

Thu, 04/14/2016 - 23:31 -- maralej

Withered away, basking in sunlight but descending in to darkness

Past mistakes unveiling themselves, becoming the new reality

Sinking, drowning, a quiet submersion with nature to end it all

" It's easier this way", they say

" I have nothing", they repeat

Consciousness slowly flickers away, the pain becoming ever so numb

Pressure on my wrist awakens me

Contact.

My body thrusted back into the hell I was determined to escape

His face.

He masked the sun but the light shown through

" I'm here for you"

The cracks in my soul enveloped with emitting brightness

Warmth.

The numbness faded away

He saved me.

My heart was ablaze with a new found emotion

Faith.

The air that I breathe

The sun that gives me life

My saving grace
