Save for Eternity

Nothing last forever,

The oceans will dry,

Leaves and flowers wither,

Monuments fade, and men do too.

What is life will not stay,

What is death grants only reprieves,

Shadows crawl and light scatters

Save for nothing man may.

The clock ticks and seconds turn.

The paved road will hold its last stone

And I will be standing on the edge,

Looking into the void and abyss,

Remembering you and your tender kiss.

The flowers bloom for no one, but weep now you're gone

The winds shall wail and howl

As all that lies is dust and ash burned

No one shall live forever,

But you shall endeavor.
