Satan's scheme
1 Peter 5:8 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Satan’s scheming
Through strange physical sensations to fill believer’s minds
as many wandering thoughts develop ... to bring states of confusion.
Spiritual awareness seems to tumble around
by these strange experiences ... which form definite delusions.
In spiritual warfare as fought ... through the believer
one never should move by feeling or sudden thought.
Never do assume ... that you are thinking clearly
even though you have prayed ... for God’s will to be done.
God’s will and God’s purpose for our chosen life
is not communicated to our fleshly mind.
He makes known through His Life-giving Spirit
He directs His feelings only towards His own Kind.
Satan cannot enter the Holy Place
The Holy of Holies is beyond his grasp.
That is where God’s Spirit resides and my spirit with Him
secured and protected ... throughout the infinite.
Satan manipulates the outer court where my body and soul are moving.
Here is where his intentions prove and where his power is strong.
Here he entices me to live by my soul’s thoughts and feelings
and to serve the outward man instead of following the Spirit’s all along.
Here is where he pretends to be ... the spirit in me
and forms deceptive feelings to confuse the one “I am”.
If he can sur-press my spirit until it ceases to function
to help my spiritual senses grow increasingly like spam.
He will inject to my thoughts that God is really leading
me towards a renewed mind ... that only Christ can fill.
As soon as man’s spirit ceases simply to operate
he will get ready for his planned overkill
It becomes almost impossible for the Holy Spirit to find
an element here to cooperate for God’s Spirit to flow to the mind
God’s resources are cut off for the spiritual growing life
as blindness will beset and opportunities not recognized
What is the answer? I cry out. I am so easily persuaded
by my body and my soul which appear like “all of me”.
They seem to direct my life in the territory they invaded.
and render me so helpless that I hang on to “all of me”.
Do I wile away my spiritual life and do this foolishly.
“Examine self”, says the Lord “My thoughts, words, and feelings”.
In order to discern these parts ... or they arise from God
or if they come from self ... the one who’s “wheeling-dealing”
