The Salvation from his Arms

Sat, 12/31/2016 - 13:00 -- EMReyes

For 10 long, hurtful years,

The storm within me has been brewing,

Winds pick up with such intensity,

Blowing trees away until theyre naked,

Rain showers with such might,

As my demons punish me,

You may think I'm crazy,

But, you don't know how hard I try to even breathe,

My chances were like a sinking ship,

I'm shouting "Madae, Madae" as I descend into darkness,

I could only hold on with what I had left,

That's when he came around,

Like Peter in a riot of a storm,

I let go as I headed towards him,

Tears fell down my eyes as he opened his arms,

He welcomed be back into his grace,

Being in his warmth made me realize,

That he never left me,

He led me throughout my adversities,

He forgave me of my sins,

And when I humbled myself,

He freed me from my pain,

I see clearly the life he blessed me with,

And he is with me if I ever fall,
