Salt

My wings were clipped

Before I learned to sing

My throat was cut

Before I learned to dance

Life's a game we have to play

But the winner's never me

Or at least it seems so to these jaded eyes

I could drown in cyanide or SSRI

I'm told both could give me peace

And that's all I want

There's a high price to pay for breathing.
