Saipan's Song and Dance

Location

In Saipan, there is singing everywhere.

The Kingfisher sings his cheery song,

And the wind whistles through Kalabera cave.

A wave’s mighty roar,

Children on a lonely shore,

And empty shell’s moan,

The low pitch of rain’s pitter patter,

And the furious thunder’s groans,

Because in Saipan, there is singing everywhere.

In Saipan, there is dancing everywhere.

Palms leaves sway in the breeze,

And the salty sea current blows through my hair.

Crabs race sideways,

Seaweed mimic waves,

Trees burst into flames on May,

Plumerias float gracefully,

And the stars march on the Milky Way,

Because in Saipan, there is dancing everywhere.
