Sailing

Slowly, slowly sailing.
Lazily, readily, whimsically, wailing.
Waves around us, dancing and singing,
the bell on the lighthouse softly ringing.

A "swoosh" of the sea foam,
a "caw" of one gull standing alone.
Slowly, slowly drifting on,
waiting for the rising colors of dawn.

Slowly, slowly skirring and whirling,
the waves around us temptuously twirling.
Letting the day take us away,
slowly sailing across the glorious bay.
