Sad condition

Malachi 1:14 New English Translation (NET Bible)

14 “There will be harsh condemnation for the hypocrite who has a valuable male animal in his flock but vows and sacrifices something inferior to the Lord. For I am a great king.” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “and my name is awesome among the nations.”

Sad condition … in what we offer ... Satire

Later I draw a smile and paste it on my kisser

All the folks I meet today will think that I’m happy

It will take a while and it still will keep me busy

But it is worth the while, wait until I’m ready

There was a day not long ago that my face showed who I was

But now I covered it with hair and it’s well camouflaged

I am well in the knowledge that each and everyone I pass

Thinks that I am really fair in my self-made entourage

Don’t look at my eyes because they tell a different story

“Windows to the heart”, I guess I need some dark shades

The Son-shine is too bright and my inner-man too gory

A story way too sad with a price that I cannot pay
