SACRED SILENCE

Sacred silenceSometimes neededSometimes practicedSometimes heededOften overlooked by manyThose who wish for it are plentyBut it's not always there to findYou have to look into your mindIf you try to sit with itThen you surely won't regretAll the moments there for youAnd all the memories waiting tooTakes you back to far and wideOver hills and waves and tidesAnd, oh the moments you recallAs if they never left at allIn sheer abandonmentOf all the chaosYou will not regretThe lossYou will often take the timeTo recall a friend or twoYou might smile or drop a tearAnd you often wish them nearTake the silence, hold it closeNever doubt what it's aboutBecause there's nothing better thanA moment with an old friend
