The Sky

The dragon was lonely

The dragon was a star

The dragon was the sun

The dragon was lonely

All alone

So, so, alone

They wanted a friend

So they called out

A call that echoed through the sky

It rang and rang as it bounced off the clouds

The dragon did not think anyone would answer

Night fell

And she rose

She had the night sky trapped in her eyes

A milky white moon coddled in her arms

And liquid silver hair tucked behind pitch dark ears

Her body was sharp and lean

Built out of lines of starlight

A constellation

She answered the dragons call

Her call chimed like a thousand bells

It sparked against stars

And shimmered into the morning sun

She was gone by the time the dragon woke

The dragon imagined her call once again

They wanted to see her

How?

They thought and thought

Then they fought and fought

Rays of light shooting out

The dragon had to free themself of so much light

It was not enough...

Crack

Drip drip drip

Bleed bleed bleed

Dark swirled into sky blue

Golden rays sliced by shadows

Snaps as stars appeared

The sky broke

She stretched out and saw the dragon

Two voices clashed

And made music

A dragon looked to a constellation

And they were whole

Tucked into one another

A sky brought together

The dragon was not lonely
