Ruled White Paper

SIlence

Afraid of upsetting anyone

Afraid to voice an opinion

Afraid of judgement

I remain in silence

My words weigh on my chest

A burden of 1000 pounds

At the very least

Finally a release

The words flow from my mind

Down my arm

To my finger tips

Ink flowing from my pen

Flooding across the ruled white paper

Scribing furiously

Weights begin to lift

And I begin to feel better

Another day I can remain

In Silence
