roygbiv

there she sits at the back

always dressed in the same old black

she always wonders if she is good enough

cant get too much of the same sweet drug

her writing, takes her to a magical place

where everyone loves and nobody hates

anything she can amagine and anything she can dream

its all right here just waiting to be seen by unsuspecting eyes

hush, the teacher enters the room

waiting to see what drama unfolds

she reads the girls note, crying to herself deep down inside

that used to be me the teacher replys

i used to hide all my scribbles and such

hidden behind the mask of pretending

i tried but someone told me its not fair

not to hide, to explain what i mean and know what i say

im much smarter than her, just gave myself away

now there she sits

in the front of the room!

the first one to call on the first one to know

i have my voice now and im not letting go

she wears the colors from roy now to biv.

the teacher who transformed her,

is the greatest to live.

her colors are life, from her head to her toes

no more black, on her pages

just a rainbow of hope!
