Rose petals drift down and settle on the debris
They caress the remains of my most precious things
Another blackout and I may destroy myself
I locked me up in this room
To witness the evidence of my own strength
Rain has soaked the ground
And the breeze carried the storm
Just like your anger fed my breakdown

She closes her eyes and waits for sleep
Her mind won't let go of thoughts
All she wishes for is a break from the chaos
Because there's too much drama
There's trouble and she's waist deep
Electricity runs through her veins
At almost a million watts
There's not a single promise she can keep

Daggers fall behind closed doors
And into my head they will bore
For not only hours or days on end
They last for almost a decade
Until my broken spirit fades
And my mutilated body falls to the floor

She's letting it get to her again
She's letting it crack open her skull
Rose petals fall on everything she believed
Her bright eyes have begun to dull
As she sorts through all the debris
But nothing is worth salvaging
