Rome

The eternal city

Astonishing, adventurous, and ancient

It’s cobblestone pathways enclave the journey into the past

Unravelling the concealed stories behind the

Collapsing sculptures and chilling paintings

Fountains emerge in the darkest of nights

Embracing the midnight sun like

Michaelangelo did his gift

Cries of glory and agony still pierce

Throughout the arched walls of the battle

Ground of the Colosseum

As I admire Rome’s gelato and the Palestine

I revel at the sight of old Rome

Befriending the new modern Rome
