Rockets, Rockets

Rockets, rockets

To us so close they are

In our back pockets

But to my old home so far

Home is now here

And out the window I peer

I see that hatred ruins this city

It was so beautiful, what a pity

The flowers still grow, the sun still shines

And somehow the stars are still in perfect lines

And all life continues on

Dispite their life of pawn

The strength of these people is great

And this is their fate

Nobody on the outside could have guessed

That their perserverience would continue no matter how much they are oppressed

The oppressors are strong and they are near

But we are fierce and we don't show fear

Hidden inside is worry

Due to the constant hate and furry

Why is there so much hate

And is it too late

To fix this mess

To save our nest

Why is there so much hate

Is this our fate

Will the world always be like this

Will love ever be missed

Questions like why, what, and will

This land stand still

Why is it like this way

Why in blood do we pay

And I continue to wonder why

These rockets we need to fly

Destruction is what is caused

But imagine if our lives were paused

The beauty of this country would be seen at last

And maybe, just maybe we could forget the past

But still

We find the need to kill

Rockets, rockets

To us so close they are

In our back pockets

But to my old home so far
