Rock-a-bye, baby

Rock-a-bye, baby

Won't let you drop

When the wind blows,

You cry and don't stop.

Then daddy hits mommy,

She's standing up tall,

And down goes mommy,

Baby and all.

Daddy is sleeping,

Drunk and upstairs

Mommy cries silently,

Drinking down her beer.

Such sad whispers,

Of pain she fears.

Depression and anger,

The gun she swings,

And though baby sleeps,

He hears such terrible things.
