Risk on you

I'm taking a risk on you.
I've known you for 2 years, and every good encounter we had, has always followed up with a bad one.
You got me though,
I'm taking a risk on you.
During these 2 years I've messed with 2 guys that you've known and still you want me.
I've questioned why you would want to involve yourself with me after everything you've witnessed.
You told me without hesitation
" I'm tired of seeing you hurting, I know i could do better. I just want to show you."
Not knowing if you were just a good smooth talker, or if what you were saying was the truth.
With a whole lot of hesitation, I said I'm all on in, but you only get one chance.
I'm taking a risk on you.
Scared of being hurt and looking like a fool again.
I talk to you with a wall built up as strong as it could be, but with every word you slowly take that wall down.
I get worried every time i notice my feelings growing stronger.
If I give you my heart and you break it, I can't blame you because I should've seen through your act.
So with every word you speak I always remind myself this is my risk, this is me decision, this is my lesson.
I'm taking a risk on you.
