are not allowed to cross.

the way that they tell

the teachers this is right

that this is how we all learn

that we can absorb information that is thrown at us

a torrent 

and that 

we are okay with wasting our time

on crosswords and coloring pages

Ridiculous 

that they tell us we must all be unique

and then

eliminate our expression

reducing us to numbers 

that increase your numbers

so that you can have a nice vacation this year

don't tell us we matter then waste our potential
