Rhythm and Kairos
I like rainy days because they resonate
In time, and in purpose, and in shade
Though the whole world over might wish changed
The day will stand and say, “nay”
I like rainy days because they consolidate
The space we infiltrate in this world
This way doors remain shut and people away
While in the vast open space I lay curled
I like rainy days because they precipitate
And spill what once was held in delay
Yet eventually even clouds can’t hold troubles above ground
And so tears they spill upon the day
I fear rainy days because I postulate
Of the expectations arisen for myself
The texts I receive all say “if not for you I would grieve”
Yet if they knew they’d still ring mourning bells
I like rainy days because they resonate
Their time passes with greys in the skies
And ambient sounds fall on all the earth round
And for a moment, it feels as if I could die
