revolution
Locations
after the trayvon verdict
there were vibrancy of disbelief
as if they were watching a horror flick
it was frightening
how a young black male was killed
and the killer walked
that was a travesty in itself
i get it
what i find more profound
is how people want to start a revolution
come on now-bunch of hot garbage
how can anyone start a revolution
when no one takes care of issues
in their own communities 1st
where drugs are like the mta-24 hour non stop service
drug dealers continue to kill people with poison
but yet you know the drug kingpin on the block
but don't want to say because i'm not a snitch
shootings continue to be rampant
like people killing each other purchasing flat screen tvs during black friday
young girls continue to be lost souls
that falls in the arms of an older cat
whose rap sheet is longer than my arms
before people start ranting about a revolution
take care of what is going on in your own neighborhood
before taking care of other neighborhoods
that's like you loving somebody
but not yourself
revolution is a movement
but unless people change themselves
then nothing happens
