Reserved For You

The way you looked at her

I just could not be sure

Am I making the right turn?

Is loving you too big of a risk to take?

Or is the reward too big to make?

At that point I decided,

I'll have you on my good side.

Reserving a spot for you,

You had no clue.

You were stuck on the past,

Couldn't forget the last.

The spot in my heart,

Left an empty part.

Waiting for you to move on,

Took too long.

Now you are sad and lonely,

And I am left with an empty spot,

Forever reserved for you only.

You just make me feel,

Like I'm real.

Now you believe,

Only she deserves to see

Who you can really be.

She has moved away

But you still stay

Stuck on the memories

Of what you and her share,

Only the thought I cannot bare.

I feel bad in a way,

I know how it feels to fall for someone

And they wander away.

And that is why I thought

Reserving that spot

Would help you heal,

But your heart is sealed.
