Remember the Times?

Remember the times, hopefully still vivid,
Possibly now incoherent, maybe vague,
Every detail a trap, every smile a plague,
Never has the past turned the present so insipid.

You smiled for no reason, for no worry.
Every charm impelled a crush,
Every laugh squeezed out a blush.
Nevermore would your guilty man have felt sorry.

With every new life your memories would inspire,
Now, I drown in the deep sea of knowing what is missing.
We live together, lifelessly, while dreaming of us kissing.
You still smile and laugh, but time has frozen your artful fire.
