Refusal

Things are not as they seem to be,

You did not ask me why,

You made it so,

Effected changes here and there,

Created a turmoil, raised a storm

That has not eased.

It was all fine before you came

Gushing and excited

Into my room

And asked for me,

And said

You needed a small piece of me

To calm your nerves.

Your nerves were taut

You had forgotten the way to relax

To please your body and mind.

You needed others

To do your work,

An unthinkable act.

I did not bow to you.
